Hello, I’m Olivia!

Designer and Production Coordinator | May 2018 – Present (7 years +)

Working at the internationally renowned originator of film, book and exhibition projects, my main role is to work alongside the design director to create all aspects of the company’s publications. My day-to-day tasks include all things design, as well as the creation of any associated marketing material. I also manage all production requirements including briefing and liaising with printers, authors, photographers and other external partners. Notable projects I have worked on include the Netflix series Live to Lead, and best-selling books including The Recipe, What the Fat?, 200 Women and more.

Graphic Designer | Oct 2014 – April 2018 (3 years, 6 months)

Working in a small and diverse boutique agency was amazing for my skill set, gaining in-depth experience across both print and digital platforms. I was also able to liaise directly with notable clients including Panasonic and American Express on various marketing campaigns and promotions. I was responsible for booking and briefing contractors, and was later made the direct report for freelance designers.

Graphic Designer | Sept 2012 – Sept 2014 (2 years)

With my primary focus being aimed towards daily advertising, my main role within the company was working with the sales and marketing teams on material for the daily EDMs and Google display adverts. I was also responsible for monitoring the company’s theme calendar, and was later involved with the initial creation and design of ShopViva – an e-commerce collaboration between GrabOne and Viva magazine.

After completing a month-long internship at Ogilvy, I was offered a part-time position in the photography studio while completing my studies. My role was to assist the photographers, stylists and samples co-ordinator with set preparation, prop sourcing and styling for the regular Countdown catalogues and Briscoes mailers.

Sales and Administrative Assistant | Nov 2008 – May 2011 (2 years, 6 months)

I worked part-time while completing my studies at Artport, a premium art gallery at Auckland International Airport showcasing New Zealand’s art and photography. When I wasn’t on the shop floor building long-lasting relationships with clients and delivering exceptional sales results, I helped with tasks as required including stock management, organising transfers, generating reports and assisting with the setup of promotions and visual merchandising.
